NBA Power Rankings (Nov. 23rd): Hawks on Top

These Hawks are for real.

Though this NBA season is still extremely young, is it possible that the four teams most predicted to finish atop the Eastern Conference are already there to stay?

Orlando, Atlanta, Boston, and Cleveland are flying high, and each of them has already looked like the conference’s best team at some point.

Out west, the Suns are still red hot, the Lakers are now at full-strength, the Mavericks are cruising along under-the-radar, while the Spurs and Hornets are still trying to find themselves.

2009-10 NBA Power Rankings (Nov. 2nd) Boston Celtics Stay on Top

Rondo has helped the Celtics stay perfect.

 

The 2009-10 NBA season is less than a week old, and there already appears to be a team that’s a cut above the rest.

The Boston Celtics have had to play four games in five days, winning them all in impressive fashion, the latest being a 97-87 victory in New Orleans Sunday night.

KG and Co. defeated LeBron James and the Cavs in Cleveland in the season opener and then destroyed Charlotte and Chicago.

With the Lakers’ loss to Dallas last Friday, the ’09 champs are now looking up at the ’08 champs. Read more…
